THE OPPORTUNITY, IN CONTEXT

Build mobile PWA clients for Pi Durable agents

The business model

A developer already using Pi agents may want to check a session or respond to a request from a phone. A mobile client could serve that need, either as a product for a specific workflow or as a custom interface for a team.

What has been observed

pi-pocket publishes an MIT-licensed, mobile-first web app built on Pi Durable. It provides a technical reference for phone access, but an existing open-source client does not establish demand for another paid client.

Entry conditions and costs

Costs include interface development, model usage, an available host, remote access and maintenance. Pi Durable remains experimental, and steering access can let the agent run commands with the host user’s permissions. Mobile convenience does not remove those responsibilities.

The key question

What phone workflow would Pi users pay for beyond the free reference client?

Common questions

Does a PWA make the agent run entirely on the phone?

Not by itself. A phone client can connect to a separate agent host; Android self-hosting is a distinct setup. Installing a home-screen icon does not establish offline agent operation.

Why might someone pay when a free client already exists?

A paid offer would need a meaningful workflow improvement, specialized integration or support beyond what the reference project already provides. That value remains unverified.

A CLOSER LOOK

Build focused mobile clients for Pi agents

Pi users may want to check sessions and respond to requests from a phone. Developers could offer a specialized mobile client or a custom interface for an existing team workflow.
